Birthdays & Golf to Top

Today is one of Brian’s best friends, Brady’s, birthday. When I arrived to work this morning I texted Brady to wish him a Happy Birthday - since I did that earlier this month on the wrong day. I had it stuck in my head that today was Brady’s true birthday. Brady responded back after the well wishes to see if Brian and I would be joining him for a round of Top Golf this evening. Typically the answer would be an immediate “Yes!” since I have practically been begging Brian to take me to Top Gold ever since I’ve heard of it. But unfortunately, last week we had a minor mishap with Top Golf.

Brady called Brian and invited us to meet him and his boss for a round earlier last week. We were both down and I was really pumped to be going. It would be good practice for me intertwined with some booze and lots of fun. Yes, I like to multi-task. Brian and I decided on drinks and dinner at Cadillac Ranch before hand (which, I must admit was absolutely amazing – you have to get their crab-cakes). So with 2 minutes to spare to get to the other side of town after our dinner check came we called Brady to make sure that we should still head that way. Brady told us to take 35 to 75 and exit Park. Now, keep in mind that I asked Brian only 10 times prior to dinner where Top Golf was and asked if he thought was should call. Brian said he had directions from Brady and as soon as I heard “75 & Park” I told him I knew where that was and we hoped in the truck and took off.

We arrived at 75 & Park in Plano and called Brady to see if we needed to go East or West. We ended up driving 10 minutes down Park before we realized we needed to turn around. Brian said we were going the wrong was once we pulled a u-ey and so we once again turn around. Long story short we spent a good hour and a half driving up Park until we got to the City of Parker. By that time, both of our nerves we completely spent and we called Brady to let him know it was going to be a no-go for us. I was crushed. I was really looking forward to it.

I called my mom, the person who seems to solve every problem in the world and she began to tell me that not only was there a Park and 75 in Plano where we were, but there was also a Park and 75 in Downtown Dallas about 45 minutes away from where we ended up. So, the question is this. Who puts two Park Road/Lane/Drives on one highway?????? I was PISSED to say the least. Then a few nights later I found out that there is a Park Road, a Park Lane, and a Park Avenue all on 75. WTF!?

So here is to Brady and our Top Golf adventure…. Hopefully, we will see you tonight “Big Cat” and let’s all pray it’s not such a huge adventure this time.

Happy Birthday Brady!!!
