Great things truly come in small packages. I know its super clique but it's a wonderful miracle when a new child is born. Yesterday my new baby niece was born. She was born a precious bouncing bundle of 5 lbs 3 oz and 16 inches long. She is just a teeny tiny little thing - born a few weeks early... But good thing because I don't think I could have waited much longer to meet her.
The second Brian and I arrived at the hospital and said our hello's we immediately walked up to see the babies in newborn nursery. I was pleasantly surprised to see one small beautiful baby girl up front closest to the windows. For a split second it felt like it was me and this precious little baby and at that time none of the family was aware that the baby was born nor did we know if that was actually the one! We all just assumed Courtney was still in labor. It was like my niece already knew me and she would look up at me with the sweetest face and it completely melted my heart. Although the nurses had not announced whose baby it was I knew it was her. I could tell by her lips that she was my baby brother's little girl. As I held on to Brian cooing and ooohhh-ing and awwww-ing I think he knew that the baby bug had bit me... As soon as the nurse confirmed it was the one I was jumping around with pure delight and couldn't contain it... I just thought she was the most beautiful thing I have laid my eyes on.
Brian began to slowly move back to the wall and leaned up against it just watching as I talked about how cute she was and snapping pictures of her through the glass window and sending text messages out.
Although I am not 100% ready to have a child I know that this little niece of mine is going to be the most spoiled child ever with the most wonde
