Houston, We Have a Problem

Let me tell you a small story about a very small creature named Pablo. I say creature because my little Pablo, my sweet baby cat, is something from a very far far away place and I am almost positive about that.

Pablo has a little sister cat named Nala and these two kittens are like night and day. Not only is Pablo somewhat of a bully but he also happens to be the biggest scaredey cat (no pun intended). Over the past few weeks that Pablo has been with us I have discovered that he thoroughly enjoys eating odd household items like: toilet paper, twist-ties, and small game pieces. He also likes to play this game in the morning that I would like to call "Climb-Up Amanda's pants with your claws until her legs bleed" while I am getting ready in the mornings. The most infamous story I have about Pablo is the time that Pablo became a very brave young cat. The story goes something like this... As I was attempting to get ready for work one morning I climbed in the shower and started the whole routine with smooth sailing. Then, to my surprise I heard a small whimper close by. Seeing as I have two small kittens, a small dog, and a momma cat a whimper of this caliber is like hearing a siren go off. As I fumbled to look around contact-less I discovered that this small whimper was coming from Pablo. Once I looked around and finally spotted him I saw a soaking wet Pablo sitting on the bathtub floor in the shower with me with eyes that said "I need a little help here, please." Pablo apparently had decided to crawl and claw his way up the shower curtain and had somehow swung himself into the shower.

Now, when I originally told this story to other people they all basically said the same thing: "I thought cats don't like water." Well Pablo, being the unlikely tame domesticated cat that he is, had learned all too well about the hazards of water that cats possess but that does NOT fade Pablo and his crazy cat ways. Since Pablo is not your typical cat he has grown to like being in or around toilet bowls and also likes to sit in the shower after it's been used. Like I said, he is proving to be something from another planet. But he is the cutest little alien kitty I have ever seen!!!
